I'm exiting an airport, with now luggage except a few hand-carried items. We come out on a high floor and have to take an elevator down. I'm surprised that we don't ever run into a security or customs barrier - the elevator drops us off in a small lobby with doors to the outside.

There's a security guard sitting in a chair off to the side in the lobby, and as soon as I walk out the doors, she jumps up, pointing a pistol straight at me and yelling about how I didn't go through security. I raise my hands and explain that there wasn't any, there weren't any signs, I didn't know. I turn to go back toward the airport, and the security guard runs off after my two companions, who by now are about 40 feet across the parking lot, still pointing her gun and yelling.

My friends don't understand what is going on, and can't understand the security guard's frantic and aggressive actions, so although I don't want to interfere, I call out to them that we have to back into the airport and go through security. They turn back, and this seems to defuse the situation.
