Too Many PapersfritzApr 12, 2010

I'm in a small building that seems to be a college office, a single-story outbuilding with just a lobby desk and maybe a small office or two. I have a thick folder full of papers.

There is a woman and a man in the office, and I'm trying to convince them to look over these papers, and help me get rid of the ones I don't need, and make more concise copies of the ones I should keep.

They don't seem to want to help. She says that their copiers can't copy in color, but I say I don't need color, it's almost all black and white anyway, and the color is irrelevant. To demonstrate, I unfold a huge newspaper to show the relevant part, and it's a single comic strip, on the comics page. Please, couldn't we just copy that, so I can get rid of the rest of the newspaper? I seem to want them to at least tell me that I don't need to save this stuff, but they won't. I unfold another one, and it too is a comic that had some sideways relationship to the matter at hand. It seems like they may all be comics, just junk, but for some reason I can't be sure I can just throw them away.

I'm interrupted by seeing my dog Sydney out in the orchard surrounding the building. I have to call her in, she shouldn't be running around loose. Seems like it's overcast and rainy. I excuse myself, and go to the door and call out to her.
