Lost Three Fingered JackfritzAug 29, 2010

I'm driving with a number of people, in two cars, on our way to climb Three Fingered Jack. We are in some small town, cold and blanketed in snow. We seem to be having some trouble finding the mountain.

Somewhere in the middle of the town, we come to an isolated ravine. I remark that last time I went to Three Fingered Jack, we started from a ravine like this, and went up a way just like... that! A pipe protrudes from the side of the ravine and downward out into the middle, suspended with some cables. Following the pipe through the bank of the ravine might be the shortcut! But I climb up there and no, it's not it, it's different.

I suggest that we check the GPS, maybe it will just show us where the mountain is and we can go toward it. A girl starts rummaging around in her backpack for the GPS, but I say no, I mean the one in the car.
