I'm driving a semi-truck, on a rural gravely road. I come to a sharp corner uphill and to the right, I'm going too fast, I make it around the corner but then I can't straighten out fast enough so I end up turning across an empty area, in a wide circle, then back to the direction I was already headed, but too wide, so I'm off to the left side of the road.

There is a house there, a number of cars, children and other things. I direct the truck so that it strikes a minivan broadside. A man is watching outside his house as I back the truck up and back onto the road.

I explain to him that of all the things there were to hit, I intentionally avoided them and struck the minivan. He understands, and seems to appreciate. I'm giving him my insurance information (I am not sure if it will end up on the insurance that I got when I rented the truck, or on my own driving insurance). The damage to the minivan isn't that bad, but it's definitely crunched on that side.
