It's like I'm at someone else's house, as if in southeast Portland, inside a doorway along their driveway, which goes along the side of the house to a freestanding garage in back.

I seem to be keeping an eye on things, and I interrupt two people who are rummaging around in my friend's garage, attempting to steal two bicycles from back there.

Apparently as cover, they act like they are buying bicycles. They show me a torn paper with two numbers on it, in the $200 range, and offer to buy my bicycle from me. No thanks, I say, I like my bike.
