Bloody Hiking Dogs, and Feeding the KidsfritzDec 24, 2010

I'm on a hike with some members of my family, and my dogs Sydney and Charlie. We are about an hour up the trail, and I decide that we should turn back. It's going to get dark in another hour or so, and there's nothing else up ahead to see.

We come across a couple more dogs, and the dogs start playing. Rather suddenly, all the dogs get all bloody, and I grab Charlie and look him over. He's bloody but doesn't seem to be bleeding. He's lost some fur, which reveals some bumps on his skin, but he always has those bumps (as he has in real life, on his legs). I tell the people that they better look over their dogs, because maybe it is one of them that is bleeding.

Then Sydney jumps up on me, and gets blood on my pants. That's sort of annoying, how am I going to clean that off?

I end up back at my house with Joe and Jenny and their whole brood. They're getting hungry, and I was planning to feed them a pizza that I have in my freezer. Jenny offers to buy some fresh pizza from where she usually gets it, and have it delivered, but I say it's ok, I have that one pizza, and some other stuff we can feed them. But for some reason I'm distracted and stressed out, things keep happening, and it's getting late for dinner, like 9:40. Then I cook that pizza and it comes out really small; imagining it divided among all the kids, I have to give up and suggest that Jenny go ahead and order something.
