I'm at my parents' house, in the room we called the library, which was for a while my bedroom. I have a rare and treasured book that I pull out of the bookshelves, but a ghost steals it and escapes out the window.

Another ghost is sitting on the bed, dressed in colorful but dusty tatters, but I think I don't notice her there at first. I'm searching for another old book, as if it will make it ok with the first one being gone. I find it sitting sideways along the top of some other books. It is small, very old, ornate, somewhat damaged. I take it out carefully, like it is a treasure, but the girl ghost immediately jumps up from the bed, grabs the book, and makes for the window facing down toward the road.

I try to go after her and stop her before she can get away with my book, but my friend Matt is standing behind me and somehow impeding my progress, and she escapes through the window.
