Confusing Hotel FloorsfritzMar 29, 2011

I'm at some sort of work-related seminar. It's the end of the day, and I'm going back to my hotel room to change, and go out for the evening.

As I pass through the bar I see a Brazilian girl I met in real life at the rock gym. So I figure I'll change clothes and then drop back by the hotel bar and see what she's up to.

My boss Bruce is waiting for the elevator, so I go around him and take the stairs, though I have to squirm around a large spike sticking up from the corner of the banister. When I get up the stairs, it's confusing; I'm supposed to be on the third floor, but they aren't quite so organized. It seems there's a 3E floor, and some other complications. I think I get in an elevator with many facets instead of the usual cubic design, and it too has a confusing array of buttons.

I finally make it to my room, but all my things are outside in the hallway, nicely hung and stacked, because apparently they are cleaning or refinishing the floor in my room.

So I change and head back toward the bar, but partway there I realize that I'm wearing the same collared shirt that I've been wearing all day, and I should change to another one.
