A Bad Lamp DesignfritzMay 25, 2011

I'm at the house or apartment of Jessica, who is Heather and Lisa's friend, in what appears to be a dark-wood-toned bedroom. It's under the water, somehow, and uses an interesting two-door system to keep the water out. I think I am there to pick her up for some social gathering, but she isn't ready.

She says that she just got this new clock, and apparently that's why she's been distracted, because she's not sure if she likes it. I look over at her rich wood entertainment center, and there are two digital clocks there. I tell her about the clock radio I recently bought (in real life), and explain that it was inexpensive and had lots of features, but it's rather cheaply-built and doesn't perform very well, especially losing the radio station if I move it.

She says no, she wasn't talking about that, and points to a sort of decorative lamp with colorful arms like a tree, which has a clock in the middle that seems superfluous. It has a bright light in the middle that is really hard on the eyes. I suggest that maybe she could put some sort of lampshade on the bulb to disperse the light.
