Birth Control DebatefritzJul 18, 2011

I'm in a room with two women. One of them is reading from a book, something about birth control, and seems to draw some causal relationship between what birth control method a couple uses, and how often they have sex, as though using certain methods makes sex better. The other girl, a younger one, is sleeping on the couch, and I seem very tired too.

I question the conclusion about birth control; after all, there could be correlation without causation. For example, perhaps married people are more likely to choose a certain birth control method, and may have sex more or less often that people who are not married, creating such statistical results.

Right then, the husband of the girl with the book arrives home. It's about time for me to go home, but it seems awkward and suspicious to go home right at that minute, when her husband just arrived and interrupted this intimate-sounding conversation.

I'm tired and thinking about a website I'm working on, and I'm anxious to go home. I think the younger girl should go with me, but she's still asleep. Some other relatives arrived with the husband, and they are starting to fix dinner, so I'm trying to figure out a graceful exit.
