Crazy Kamikaze PlanesfritzAug 8, 2011

I'm at work, but it's nothing like my real office. We are moving into a huge warehouse space, but there is a leak in the roof above the area where I am to move (*). I think I'm going to have to rig up a tent to keep my area dry, but then the rain stops, and because of this I can't figure out where exactly the tent has to be.

Suddenly a large number of war planes swoop in, obviously intent on wreaking some havoc on the area. They buzz over above us in formation, as if making fun of us with their maneuvers. The planes have no wings, and fly sideways and upside-down, staying perfectly spaced from one another.

They seem to intend to crash land in our area, which is an island or somehow otherwise bounded, and destroy most of it. I immediately take off running, to a parking garage on the edge of the area, which seems sturdy and perhaps far enough away from likely targets to survive the attack.

Two of the planes approach me directly, and for a second I think this is the end. But they hover in front of me, and they are only about a person's length, with a hole in the nose. I tease the one closer to me, chiding its nose with my fist, as if in spite, like a dare. The other plane is "holding" somebody else on its nose, and seems to ask my plane what to do with him. "Break him in half," says my plane, and the guy falls limp across the plane as though his spine was removed.

(* - the roof of my work leaked all last winter, and we had to rig up some plastic sheeting to catch the water in buckets. They have been up there all week, making a terrible racket, fixing it)
