I Can Touch the Plants. But I Can't PeefritzNov 7, 2011

I'm taking a hike with a cute blonde girl, slight but not small. We seem to be heading back to the trailhead, through towering bushes on either side, like Himalayan Blackberry. Then I notice some poison oak, and I point it out to the girl, who is walking about 20 feet ahead. I consider touching a little of it on my skin for a test, but I remember doing this some time ago, and it was very uncomfortable, so I decide that's not a good idea.

She sees me messing around and says something about touching the plants. "I can touch the plants," I say, catching up with her on the trail. "I can touch the animals. I can even touch you!" - kissing her unexpectedly on the mouth. She seems hesitant, but kisses me back, twice.

We get back to the trailhead, and I have to pee. There's a building there, like an interpretive center, with bathrooms in it. I go in, but there's a waiting room with a lot of people sitting around, and some of the urinals are blocked by a large TV. I comment on this, as if to say, hey that's stupid that the TV is obstructing some of the urinals. A huge black guy, who is watching the TV, takes offense to what I say - I guess I'm not the only one who complained. At this point I'm sitting on a couch, and he comes over to beat me up, which he could easily do. I apologize, and quickly explain my desperation to pee, and then manage to distract him with something cute that is on hand, a kitten or something. He says that he was planning on beating me really badly but now he's changed his mind.

So I get up and go look for a different bathroom. There's a men's and a women's, and I go into the men's, the kind that don't have doors but they go down small angular halls so you can't see in. I find a long line of women, so thinking I accidentally went into the women's, I step out and check the sign. Indeed it is the men's, but the women are so desperate they're using it. The line is too long, so I figure I'll just hold it until I get home. It seems I'm quite a ways away, up in the Columbia Gorge.
