Slight Financial Error | | fritz | Nov 15, 2011 | I'm working on a critical project at work, and my colleague Jake made an important contribution, so I personally buy him a gift, some stock or something, which has monetary value, but its value is a little bit obscure.
Then he twice thanks me for "the 60K", indicating that it is worth sixty thousand dollars. I can't afford that, and I certainly didn't give him that much intentionally! How did that happen? Jake just bought a $40,000 car with the money!
I talk to my boss Tom about it, without mentioning the number, and he says the company can help take care of it. But $60K seems impossible. I need to investigate it, and determine what went wrong in the math. I think it was supposed to be $6K, but I bought the wrong amount or something. | Next: Strange Lake with Animal Island |
