Lost on Trail | | fritz | Jan 11, 2012 | I'm staying in a rental house with some climbers, as if on some sort of weekend climbing adventure. I go out alone with a backpack, down into this ravine, and continue downward until it gets dark rather suddenly, and I have to retreat toward the cabin. It seems embarrassing that I am out here unprepared, and may have to stay the night.
Cliffs loom above the ravine in which I'm travelling uphill, but none of them look familiar. Where did I come down? I don't see my route. But suddenly the clouds lift or something and I can see clearly again. There is a trail going up the ravine, so I follow it. Eventually I come back to the cabin, although from an unexpected direction, and I barely recognize that side of it.
I'm glad to be back in the cabin, but I think I'm tired, and I'm trying to sleep but there are a bunch of small children playing in there and making noise, and I can't sleep. | Next: Head Destruction |
