A Foreign PassagefritzFeb 29, 2012

I'm visiting a foreign city. Perhaps I'm working, and it seems I'm hanging around with my friends in a bar after work, and then I go wander alone into the city.

The architecture is spectacular and colorful, and I keep seeing awesome buildings and wishing that I had brought my camera. I should go back and get my friends. But I keep wandering.

I go into this tunnel, a passageway, with dark shiny walls. It seems there is some art behind panels. After a long straight stretch, the tunnel makes a turn to the right, and goes deeper into the ground.

I decide at that point that I don't want to go any deeper, and I turn around. An oriental-looking woman passes me, and then stops to watch, because the corner is not so easy in reverse; it involves climbing. But it's like rock climbing, and I find a couple of holds, some little indentations that are good enough for a foot, and scramble back around the corner and out of the tunnel.

Then I go to an apartment to visit John Powell. But I still think I should get back to my friends at the bar.
