I'm excited about watching TV with my friend, and I have it all set up in my parents' basement. But then, it's time for the show we've been waiting for, and somebody stole our couches! They were right there, all set up, and now there's just like one loveseat or something. It's really bothering me, but the show is on now, so we sit down and watch it.

When it's over, I get up to go figure out who took the couches, and get them back. Later I realize the show wasn't really over, it was only a commercial break about 20 minutes into it, but I got distracted with the couch thing.
