Music ShoppingfritzAug 21, 2012

I'm shopping in what used to be a music store, but it's sort of something else now. It's full of interesting stuff, but I don't see the CD's. I pick out a few other things and am carrying them around.

I finally find the CD's; they are relegated to two horizontal filing cabinets. I open them up and take a look, thinking I might find an Annihilator record but I think I'm looking for the "R" section. The ones on the right are all collections, not alphabetized, many copies of the same few CD's. Some look familiar, like the "Idiot's Guide to Classical Music", of which I have several copies. The left-hand drawers are some CD's filed by artist; I find two that I like.

Near the door is pile of unusual guitars, not really guitar-shaped, without a body. They have only three or four nylon strings. Another guy is looking at them also, and I'm like wow, unusual, but with a Fender brand, and only $99? But I don't think I take one.

It's time to leave, the store is closing and I'm late to meet someone (perhaps Stacey?) and go to the airport to fly home. I go to the checkout, but somebody beats me to the register. From there I can see that there is a line of registers, with nobody attending them, so I stand in a central place to be accessible to them all, which allows somebody else with a few small purchases to slip in front of me in the one register that was already open. I think the clerk might direct me to check out first, but they don't.
