I'm car-camping, in an open area, with other cars lined up and tents between them. It seems like we just got done with some activity, and we're just staying there the last night before we go home.

My friends are up the hill a ways, watching some beetles in the sand. The sun is going down, casting a distinct shadow as it moves along the ground, and this seems to be causing the beetles to wake up and move around. I go up there to watch, and it's hard to keep up because the shadow line is moving so fast, and then suddenly the sun is gone and it is dark. I should have already located my headlamp, but I didn't, so now I have to look for it in my car, in the dark.

I go back to my car, but now I'm looking for some food. I had some baked goods, but now I can't find them. I find some bagels and rolls, but I think I had something better. Finally I find them under an inverted bowl in the back of the car, and there is a cheese-covered bread in the shape of a danish that I am excited to find. I take it out and start to eat it, and offer it to somebody to share, but it turns out to be soggy on the bottom and really gross.

The weather has taken a nasty turn, and now it is rainy and cold, with high blustery wind. I was planning to sleep in my little blue and red tent, with my dogs, but I'm thinking it might be more comfortable in the car.
