There are hundreds of these little bright blue birds around, and then... I wonder where they went. They all just disappeared. Oh there they are, in the shallow water, with their heads down and their tails sticking up. I think they are protecting their babies. There are also some animals, either cows or donkeys, sloshing around in the water, and as they get close I wonder how this will affect the birds. They mostly move over to stay out of the way as the hooves get close, but then some of them fly away in a wave.

I get down to take a closer look at the birds in the water. They have their beaks poking down into the mud, and the feathers along their back are ruffled out like an aggressive dog. I touch them, and they are rather sharp and painful. Then the birds start pecking and chasing me, and they are joined by some other larger birds. I scramble upriver a bit and swim to a water hole, where I'm looking at some big fish on the bottom, but somebody tells me to be careful, I'm stepping on it.
