Swimming Near Old Town SherwoodfritzNov 2, 2005

We're swimming in a high-walled pool, but I have no swimsuit. I check my underwear: black. Seems I couldn't get away with it, so I don't swim.

Later we are packing up into the car and Joe tells me a story that he's doing some research and it turns out there's an Old Town Sherwood. I go there in a car or bicycle, and it is just one street like all the others, in the back of the town, but it is a run-down, grey and ghostly line of abandoned buildings. It is very scary, and access is allowed only at one end, so if you traverse it, you then have to traverse it back.

I get back and Joe is still packing up, I think from the pool. Timmy runs around, I worry about that, and Joe is leaving his car seat buzzer (apparently everyone has one) on the ground in the rain. I ask him if he isn't forgetting it, and he suggests he doesn't want it, maybe Dave does. I think I end up with it, and hang it in the closet with a very high rod, on a hanger with an extremely long neck, apparently designed precisely and cleverly for such closet rods.
