Interesting Sea Rocks, Forgot CamerasfritzMar 4, 2013

I'm at an outdoor restaurant at a beautiful beach, on a bus tour. There is a red rock arch connecting to the land out to the right, forming a sort of bay, and there is a current coming from there, carrying with it a cluster of large round rocks, like the foam on the edge of a wave. Some of the rocks hit the shore, and a few even roll far up the beach toward us. They don't seem dangerous, just fascinating.

Then I realize I forgot my camera. Here I am on this all-day tour, I'll see so many interesting things, and my camera is back at the hotel (in fact, I think of both my 3D and regular cameras). I go around the back of the restaurant to where our tour guide is sitting alone with a snack. She is a fit and slightly older woman, the yoga instructor from 24-hour-fitness. I ask her how far it is back to the hotel, thinking that I might be able to go back there while we are on this stop, and get my cameras. I can't tell how far away it is, because to hit the sights, we've been taking a winding and indirect path. No way, she says, the hotel is like two hours' travel in each direction.
