Little FerryfritzApr 14, 2013

I'm on a boat, like a tiny ferry holding just a dozen or so people, cruising up (or down) a river. The lower part has seats arranged like an airplane, and you can't really see out. Somebody mentions that somebody else went up to the upstairs part, so I go up there.

The upstairs is a small room, very open, with glass on all sides, and comfortable seating, and the captain's desk in the front. The city is beautiful in the night, and I can see a globe-shaped building lit in blue. I start asking them what the buildings are, but I'm not sure the questions are really meaningful, since the name of a building doesn't mean much to me anyway, I just want to know more about things.

But they we are going into another section of the river, where there really isn't much. Just typical, I say, that I will try to optimize my time and end up missing all the best parts. Oh well, I should be able to see what I missed on the way back.

I go back to the downstairs of the boat, first to an outside deck, where I set down a backpack or something, but then pick it up again because I don't want people to trip over it when we disembark.
