I go into a house, where there are several people, a couple and another guy. I want to tell him a story about my car, but I'm not sure he's the right guy. "Are you *, I ask?", embarrassed that I don't recognize him. "You are *, aren't you. Are you *?"

The couple says that it's time for dinner, and I stand up, not sure what this means to me. Should I offer to help cook? Should I sit at the table for dinner?

Another girl that is there picks up her coat and says it's time for her to leave, so I take her cue and leave also.
