Boat TourfritzSep 30, 2013

I'm on vacation in some far-away place. I'm just starting on a tour with four or five strangers. We have to begin by getting on this little boat, like a rowboat. It is so small that our legs have to hang over each side, and the spot for me is in the very back. It's already completely swamped with the people who are in it, and I'm afraid that I will sink it by getting in. I say this, but our leader insists it will be fine, so I get in, and though it is very low to the water, it doesn't sink.

I'm clinging to the back of this girl in front of me, and I'm thinking of making a flirtatious joke about how if we start sinking, I'll have to grab onto her boobs, but I can't think how to phrase it, so I don't think I say anything.

Later we make a transition to a different vehicle, like a military truck where we're sitting in a truck-bed, and it takes off with nobody at the wheel, and then I realize it can be driven from two different places - one at the front, and one at the back.

I think it was dark all the time, but now it seems to be just twilight, and we pass some gorgeous old boats, as if from the 1700's, made of wood and with many sails, and I realize I forgot to bring a camera. In fact, I didn't bring everything. Usually I have my day-bag. I think I mention this to one of my travel-mates. She has a camera (a Panasonic just like mine), and she points it carelessly in some direction and snaps a photo. I wonder if I can have somebody send me their pictures of this tour. Otherwise there will just be a gap in my sequence of pictures, like that one other time.
