Up somewhere near Seattle, I am wading in a river when I am approached by a dolphin, and by its side, a seal. They are very friendly, and I manage to climb on the back of the dolphin. It carries me, with the seal by our side, all the way back to Portland, without even stopping to pick up my things from the riverside.

Then I have to go all the way back up to Seattle, to that riverside, to get my day-bag and cameras, hoping they are still there. I hitch a ride with some people in what appears to be a Volkswagen bus, and I explain to them about why I am going up to Seattle, and why I am all wet, and this miraculous thing that just happened, and how I couldn't take any pictures because I left my cameras by the river and didn't want to ruin the experience by stopping to get them.
