I'm riding with some people in a car, at night, a long way away. We stop at some corner store for road supplies or something, and the guy who is driving works on the car. I peek in, and see the tops of the pistons - somehow he has taken the whole head of the engine off, just like that!

The driver has wandered off somewhere, and the girl gets impatient and tells me to get in the car, we're going without him. I get in and we start driving uphill through the town, before I remember that the engine was all taken apart, and wonder how the car can even drive in that condition.
