Non-Unique Biblical Heritage, and SpritefritzMar 13, 2014

I'm in a class, but as I look around, I notice that there are only two students, myself included, so I take it that I can be more interactive with the teacher. We are sitting at a large wooden table, and the walls are also wood, giving the room a very warm appearance.

The teacher is talking about the unique heritage of each language, and how that intersects with culture. I ask how you would respond to a religious person who would claim that the bible has a more important or distinct heritage. Then I answer it myself, and say that the bible, like any other book, makes for kind of a snapshot of a culture at a certain time... or across a number of different times, and through different interpretations.

I take a drink from a small glass that is on the table, and then drop it in a larger glass that is nearer to me. Then I notice, remembering the taste, that it seemed like Sprite, which I wasn't expecting. I wonder if it belonged to the girl, the other student in the class, who is sitting to my right, just around the corner of the table. Then I notice a drink can to her right that is some sort of Sprite, so I need to find an opportunity to acknowledge my mistake with some embarrassment.
