Airport Knife ExchangefritzMar 27, 2014

Walking through something like an airport, I see a really nice and new-looking pocketknife with about a four-inch blade and a rubber handle, in a sheath on the ground, and stop to pick it up. I'm looking it over, wondering what to do with it. There are a couple of other guys around me, and one of them asks if he can see it, and in doing so, he drops it intentionally, switching it with another knife so that I pick up the other one. I notice it's not the same knife, it's a pocket tool that is older and metal-colored, but looks pretty cool, though it has some features hanging off it that look like they might get caught on your pocket. He confesses to the switcharoo, but tells me that he'd like to trade for that knife, and that the one I'm holding is made by a famous brand that I recognize.

Suddenly the four or five guys around me all pull out their knives, and show them to each other, offering trades. I want the small red one that folds down really tidily. Though I'm wondering about having all these knives in the airport.
