I'm up on my parents' property, at the gate at the bottom of the subdivision road. I'm struggling with a tractor that is like the Lester Express, that wants to roll backward, down the hill into the road. But I have to hold it by this rope at the top, so I can't get down to the tractor, except for a few seconds before it starts rolling away again.

Somebody comes by, my dad or one of my siblings, and I ask them to hold the rope for a minute. It's not difficult, I tell them, I just need someone to hold it long enough for me to figure out how to put the brakes on. Just then I see the emergency brake, near the pedals at the front of the tractor, man I wish I had seen that earlier. Ok, problem solved.

My car is there too, and my dogs are running around in the road. A car comes by, and I apologize with my eyes, but the driver slows way down and seems understanding. The next car might not be so nice.
