A lot of my stuff is in a dingy shared house downtown, which is regularly broken into, and things stolen. Karl is there, and I'm talking to him about the theft problem, but he's just babbling. He's on meth or something, just chattering and not making any sense.

I'm trying to move things to my Garden Home house - things get stolen there too, but at least I can sort of keep an eye on them. I look for my shotgun between the bookcases, in the back bedroom of the Garden Home house, and it has not been stolen yet.

Back downtown, I'm walking with Leta back to the apartment. She's become very thin, tall and pretty, and I like her. But then at the apartment is another girl, kind of a combination of Zena and Bryan's old girlfriend Jennifer, who has also lost a lot of weight and become very pretty. I notice also that as a consequence of Leta's weight loss, she has an unsightly flap of skin extending down her neck from her chin like a strange lizard.

The Zena/Jennifer girl is laughing and coming on to me, and I am surprised she would be interested. I'm totally interested in her, although I'm apparently preoccupied with something else and tell her I'll come back in a few minutes.
