I'm driving alone in a car, along a very rough road in the woods, cut into the side of the hill. The road suddenly gets very narrow, there's nowhere to go, and my passenger-side wheels fall off the bank to the right. The car stops at a scary tilt.

I think, if I open the door very carefully, I can jump out. I don't have much time, but I catch my breath, pop open the door, and dive for the ground. My car (I think my old Subaru) tips as I roll out, and tumbles down about 50 feet into a ravine.

Later, I'm in a different car in a small town, and several people are with me, trying to figure out how to get home, which is a few hours' drive away, without my car, which apparently brought us all here. We are talking about it. I have a dog or two with me, but I have to go back to my car in the ravine to get Molly, who apparently tumbled down with the car, and I can picture her looking out with her front paws on the window, wondering when I'm coming back to get her.
