It's Christmas eve, I'm at my parents' and I don't have any presents for the nieces and nephews. I think there is something I could get for them all at Fred Meyer; I have an idea for the boys, but the girls are more difficult. I think I have time to run down there yet this afternoon.

(It's rather similar to a situation that came up, a day or two before this, at work. A longtime employee retired, and it seemed like a departing gift would be appropriate, so I went and bought a plant at Fred Meyers. However she left early, so I still have the plant.)
