Phone Call for RoadkillfritzJul 10, 2015

I'm driving up the big hill on Bell Road toward my parents. Suddenly I come across a bad crash, looks like two people on motorcycles ran into each other and are strewn about in the road.

I ask really quickly if anybody has called 911 yet, nobody has, so dial quickly and I shout into the phone "This-is-Fredrick-Capell-we-need-an-ambulance-there-are-two-people-injured-on-Bell-Road-just-up-from-the-trestle!", talking so fast that as I say my name, I stumble over the syllables, but I don't go back to correct it, knowing that it doesn't matter right now anyway.

Now that we have that information out, the ambulances are probably already on their way, so the pace of the conversation slows and the person on the other end asks me about the injured, their condition, and whether she can talk to them. One of them seems to be in pretty good shape, and I say I'll put him on the phone, but the other has suffered a head injury, his eyes are all black and he is thrashing about wildly. I don't think he can talk on the phone, and I fear for his life if they can't get here soon.
