Trail ManagementfritzJan 7, 2016

I'm carrying a cat in a carrier (I had to do that today, took the cat to the vet), but I realize it isn't fully enclosed; there's a frame, and then a platform in the middle where the cat sits, and sort of a rail to make the cat comfortable sitting there, but nothing holding her in. It's a cat-psychology thing. But I have to keep moving or else she'll jump out.

Where I'm walking is a paved trail, but the parking lot is across a sort of ravine. As I get further along the trail, the lot gets further away. I have to get back there, but I'm managing not only this cat, but some of my nieces. We decide we'd better take a route across the ravine soon, before it gets any worse, and the girls start climbing down a steep rocky scramble. But it looks too treacherous, so I decide to go back along the pavement to the previous trail, which I recall looked easier to traverse.

We get to that trail, and it is easier but still difficult, and we meet my mom, who says we should have gone back even further, because the paved trail pretty much touches the parking lot directly, and we don't need to do all this side trail business. I tell her, yeah, you try managing these kids and cats, I did the best I could do.

I think we're going the car to meet at a restaurant.
