Guitars Don't Like Being StolenfritzOct 4, 2006

I am coming out of a store much like the Uptown Market. I forgot to lock my doors, and my favorite guitar "Blackie" has been stolen from my back seat. I notice as soon as I pass in front of the windshield.

Nearby is another parked car, and I can see several guitar necks sticking out between the driver and passenger seats. One of them I recognize as Blackie. I go around to the driver's side rear window and consider smashing it, then realize that they too neglected to lock their car, so I just open the rear door and pull my guitar out.

Just as I am closing the door, a man arrives and asks me about the guitar, apparently admiring it. He asks if it is mine, what kind it is, and I start explaining, it is a 1977 Fender Musicmaster, etc., but his questions turn out to be a ruse. He was the thief, it is his car, and presently he grabs the guitar and tries to wrestle it from me.

I use Blackie as a weapon, smacking him with it several times before hitting the headstock firmly up into his crotch. I think I am about to escape when I feel a strong tingling pain going down my back. He apparently has a friend, who snuck up behind me and hit my back with some nasty knuckle trick. I lose my feet and slump weakly to the ground, still clutching the guitar and trying to hold on to it.
