Bedroom RobberyfritzNov 17, 2016

I'm awakened - in my own bed, at home - by a high-pitched ringing sound in my left ear, as if it's coming from my alarm clock or somewhere on my nightstand. I look over to my alarm clock (usually showing the time) and it is dark. All the little electronic lights in my room are off, and even the house light I can usually see down the hallway. The power to the house has been shut off.

Then I see the lights from a flashlight flickering around the hallway, of somebody unfamiliar with the area looking around. I try to yell out sternly something like "who are you and what are you doing here", but my voice doesn't respond, and all that comes out is weak, sleepy gibberish. Now I'm not sure I should even have said anything, just giving myself away.

But the intruder doesn't seem to have heard me, and turns into the bathroom and closes the door. I'm wondering if they are actually using the bathroom, and waiting to hear the toilet the flush. Either way, I need to do something, because they'll be coming in here next. I get up and run into the other bathroom, attached directly to my bedroom, and turn on the light. There is a door there to the outside, and I consider running out, but I think, what then? I'll be stuck outside my house with them inside.

I wake up in my bedroom, power is on, nothing is amiss.
