I'm at my old house in Garden Home. My colleague Bill is there with me, helping to clean up some stuff in the kitchen. These people that have been staying with me have left pots that they cooked in, full of food, like a pot with a mostly-eaten chicken, stashed in the fridge.

I explain this sort of helplessly, like "well, we just have to clean them up and put them in the dishwasher", but then we open the dishwasher and it also has pots in there full of old food. I conclude that they just haven't ever cleaned any, they just keep stashing the pots.

While he's doing that, I notice that ants are coming into several corners of the house - one, above the door, is even being raided by larger ants with wings. I go into the garage to find some kind of ant-killer, but all I find are these old traps that really don't work. Oh well, I grab a couple of them anyway and figure I might as well use them up, and get some better stuff later.

I come back into the kitchen and notice a puddle coming from the fridge, and extending... all the way across the kitchen, and into the dining room, where it is getting deep. I splash in there and say to a couple of people sitting by on the couch, "how deep does it have to get in here before you notice a problem? Up to your ankles? Up to your necks? Bill!"
