Seager Gives Me a Ball | | fritz | Mar 29, 2017 | I'm at a baseball field, perhaps at Spring Training, watching a game, but I don't seem to have a seat, I'm just standing under a high roof on the side of the field by first base. I don't recall anyone else around. Kyle Seager (Mariners' third baseman) comes over from the field and gives me a baseball. It is torn with a huge gouge in it. I'm a little bit under-appreciative, because it seems like he already gave me one earlier, but I didn't have an opportunity to have him sign either one, so I'm not really sure what the point is(*).
Then I have to leave, so I go back to my hotel room, which seems to be on a high floor overlooking the ballpark. I'm packing up my things and getting cleaned up.
The sink is this super compact multi-functional device, and when I turn on the faucet, it empties directly onto a flat surface with a circular burner (like on a stove), about six inches in diameter, right under the faucet. But the circle can be removed, like a ceramic tile embedded in the surface. I remove the first circle and reveal some other function. Then I remove that circle too, and the next one, finally revealing a tiny sink, even with a drain at the bottom of it.
* much like the discarded balls that I picked up at Spring Training, which the Cooper nephews seemed unimpressed because they weren't signed. | Next: Funny Funny Birds |
