I'm flying in a commercial airline. A stranger next to me points out that we are flying low - I look out the window, and see buildings and trees, as if we are skimming along very near to the ground in a small city. At first I think it must be fine, since the captain didn't announce anything, but then I think, well, if we were about to crash, he probably wouldn't announce it.

So we probably are about to crash. Oh well, it seems like a pretty reasonable way to die, probably sudden and painless.
