Strained Argument | | fritz | Dec 18, 2017 | I'm on an airplane, which appears to be mostly empty. I'm sitting in with the aisle on my right, and my cousin Dennie is sitting about four rows in front of me. At least one other person is sitting across the aisle from him. Dennie voices some opinion, I think on something political or social.
I speak up to voice my disagreement with Dennie, at first saying that I disagree with him, and then trying to say that objective scientific data also speaks against his point. But I start to choke like my airway is blocked, I can't breath, and can't spit out the last couple words. I'm gasping and struggling for breath, as everyone is looking at me, waiting for me to finish the sentence. Finally I say the last two words by gulping a little air inward, and awaken still desperate for breath. | Next: Journey Aborted |
