I'm playing chess with Scott, to the side of some other task I'm doing, perhaps another chess game. The game with Scott is to my left, and I just reach over and make a move occasionally.

I turn to that game and find that the board is clear except for a king and queen and a skull. The king is mine, and it is in a checkmated position. Scott tells me he cleared the board because obviously I lost.

I had played a risky move where I took a major piece from his back line with a knight. Then in trying to rescue it, in a couple moves I just lost.
