At the end of a dream, which I don't remember, but it seems complicated, a man comes on a black-and-white TV and explains in sort of Twilight Zone cadence that the plot is much more complicated than we (the viewers) imagined - yes, we figured out part of it, if we were paying attention (which I did, and I had), but there was this whole other level of depth to it which I hadn't even considered.
