I'm at a rock climbing gym. An unknown girl asks me to belay her while she climbs this tricky route which has a short vertical pitch and then a horizontal walk, but as she's doing the pitch I say I can't really help you here, there's too much slack in the rope, and she says she knows, she just likes the comfort of being on belay.

Ty comes up over a ledge below (we seem to be one level above the base floor below), and I ask him to belay me on that same route because it looks pretty fun. He pleads with me to first help him find something that he lost and has been looking desperately for, perhaps a cell phone.
