Work EarthquakefritzJan 2, 2019

I'm at work, and suddenly the ground starts to shake violently. It's a huge earthquake, objects start falling everywhere, and everybody starts running around, trying to figure out what to do. First I stick my head into a bookcase to shield, but then I think that might not be such a good idea, and I go into the hallway toward the door to outside, but I get only a few offices down before the shaking stops.

I go back to my office to survey the damage. In general, it doesn't look like much is damaged, until I see that the wall between my office and the one in the corner (which in real life is just a half-wall, but in the dream goes all the way to the ceiling), is stained with water spots. Pipes behind the wall have broken and are leaking inside the wall. I wonder how they could design a building to be so fragile to earthquakes that the building will be fine but all the pipes will be shattered like that.

Well somebody will have to fix that, but it doesn't bother me for now. I try to use my computers but the network is down, probably also all broken inside the walls. So I can't do any work. I pack up to go home.

(just before going to bed, Vera had pointed out that there was a small earthquake in the state, not big enough to notice here)
