I'm in a train, at night. The inside of the train is empty, like all the seats have been removed, and we're all just sort of standing around, looking out the windows.

One of the people in our group is Dusty Andrews, my proto-girlfriend before I was old enough to have a girlfriend, and I start to think of a joke to tell her, like "let's have a relationship where we hang out together all the time, but without any intimacy or anything...", basically joking about our relationship when we were little, but I can't quite put the words together, and then Vera comes in from the next train car, so I give up on that idea altogether.

I recognize that we are going up the hill below my parents' house, where the Big Hill is, and point out that we are almost there, because I know this hill.
