I'm having a children's party (just as I am in real life, the next day), but it's at my grandma's old house in Hillsdale, and Steve is entertaining the children out on her front lawn. I ordered a lot of toys from Amazon, but I seem to have just realized that they just arrived at my house, a day late, when they were supposed to have come the day before the party. I have to run home and get them!
I jump on my bike and head down the hill toward home, before realizing that I can't take all the toys on my bike! How stupid! I curse myself.
I end up gathering with a few of my family down on the main strip of Hillsdale. I think it's raining but we're under cover, and I'm saying that it's too late, I can't go home and get the toys, we're supposed to be downtown for the adults' party now, we're already a half hour late and we're still a few minutes away.
Minda asks me for help with this pocketknife, which has some string part attached, but it's all tangled up. I take a quick look at how to untangle it, but it looks like it might be hopeless, so I suggest that if it can be easily replaced, just cut it off and replace it later.
(This was the night before big 50th birthday party day, in real life, when I indeed held a kids' party, but it was at my friend Shawn's house, and then an adult party downtown. I did order a bunch of toys on Amazon, but they came the day before, when they were supposed to) |
