Bus Stop Bathroom Story | | fritz | Oct 5, 2019 | Vera and I have just arrived at a bus stop. It's a small building at the side of a busy road, and about half of the building is just a shelter roof, where we set down several bags that we are carrying, apparently in a hurry.
I need to pee, but I'm not sure I have time before the bus arrives. Then I remember that there is a library right across the street with public bathrooms, and there should be time to run over there. I go around the back side of the bus shelter building and around to the road, where I can see the bathrooms right on the other side, doors for men and women.
As I'm waiting to cross the street, I see the bus come around the corner toward us, and now I'm really not sure if we have time. I don't want to miss the bus, so I decide I'd better just hold it. But somehow I get trapped, I can't get back, and we miss the bus anyway. It seems like we're going to school, and concerned about being late for class. I ask, should we call an Uber?
