Apartment with Poor Access | | fritz | Jan 6, 2020 | I'm arriving at this place I'm staying, as if renting a room in a college house. It seems like I'm showing it to somebody who hasn't been there before. But my room is very hard to access; from inside the house, we crawl through a small door, like a doggie door, into a musty unfinished basement space with a dirt floor, and then cross that room and crawl through another doggie door to my space, which is couple of small rooms, one of which is an office where I have my computers. I'm thinking about asking if I can move the office stuff upstairs so I don't have to come down here all the time.
We keep walking around the house, and the suggestion is made that maybe we can at least cut a person-sized door from some adjacent room so that I don't have to literally crawl every time I want to enter and exit. In the main living room of the house, above the fireplace, is a map of the house, showing all the rooms. It's very colorful, with different spaces in different primary colors. Ha, I think, how classic, of course there's a map above the fireplace (as though I've always seen that in movies about college houses). But maybe I can use it to determine which adjacent room could give access to my space. | Next: Bella at the Fair |
