I'm on a road, as if we'd just gotten out of the car to take a hike. There are dogs out, and as a car comes by I turn around to make sure they aren't running in the road, and to block the car so that it slows down. The car slows to a crawl, and I put my hand on its bumper as it passes by.

But then I hear a commotion like somebody yelling out, and I run over to see what is going on, fearing that one of the dogs got hit. But when I get there, it's not from a car, one of the other dogs bit Linus in the butt. It's almost a cartoon injury, where all the skin is expanded so you can see everything beneath, like a diagram in a textbook. The question arises about who bites a dog in the butt, but I know that some dogs do that. Petra is upset and I'm saying that we can take him in and get him fixed up, but she says he's already so old, how does that even make sense.
