Like Giving Candy to Babies | | fritz | Jun 23, 2020 | I'm rushing to the hospital for a baby to be born. Somehow it seems like "my baby", though I think it's my niece who is having it. When I get there, the baby is already born and seems a couple of months old. The mother sets the baby down on the table and a doctor looks at it and says it seems fine, there isn't really anything for him to do. I feel the same, like there is nothing to do.
So I decide to give candy to the other kids, my nieces and nephews who are running around and playing. In my pocket I have a handful of individually-wrapped hard candies, so I start passing them out to the kids. For the littler ones, I split the candies and give them only half. Then I remember that some of the kids aren't supposed to have sugar candies - their parents don't allow that in their diet - but it's kind of too late. Oops, my bad. Too late now. Oh well, it was only a half a candy. | Next: Unexpected Denmark |
